Midsummer Gas is a new, annual summer event for Ariel Club members and their guests.
A long weekend, running from 22-24 June 2018, it will be an opportunity to road drive (or ride) your Ariel vehicle, attend a local Atom/Nomad track day, green-lane in your Nomad, natter with fellow owners and relax in comfortable surroundings.
The Atom/Nomad track day will take place at Abingdon Airfield, courtesy of Motorsport Events, on Friday 22 June.
Nomad owners can attend their very own green-lane drive, lead by Ariel’s Henry Siebert-Saunders, on the afternoon of Saturday 23 June. Whilst the Nomads are spraying mud off-road, the Atoms will take a cross-country road trip to a pub lunch, doing their best to stay together. There’s also an opportunity to attend the Classic & Sports Car Show in association with Flywheel at Bicester Heritage, if enough folk want to go.
This inaugural Midsummer Gas is based out of Bicester Hotel & Spa in Oxfordshire, where there will be a BBQ on the Friday evening and a three-course dinner on Saturday night. You are welcome to attend one or both. Everyone will head home on Sunday 24 June, once they’re all gassed out.
How to book
All hotel room bookings for Friday and Saturday night must be made with Bicester Hotel & Spa direct. Please mention that you’re booking for the Ariel Club event. Atom/Nomad track day places for June 22 have now sold out (contact Motorsport Events for the track day timing and details), but contact us if you’d like to go on the waiting list. The Nomad off-road drive must be booked with Henry Siebert-Saunders direct at Ariel.
Places are strictly limited for this event and it will be a sell-out. Get your skates on.
