factory supply of spare parts

I already asked this on FB, now here too:
What exactly is the reason that the factory no longer stocks many parts for older models??
And should it stay that way, or is it just a temporary situation?
I honestly find this quite disturbing...

why not just ask the factory? Maybe it is space, money for inventory, lost of interest...could be everything

To be honest, I couldn't believe it at first. So I didn't want to bother the factory with it. But more and more I read that rims, wings etc. are no longer available, so there must be something to it.

So.
To answer the Wheels and Wings question:

Wheels - Our supplier had huge issues after covid. We can supply 1's of 15" Atom 2 /3 Front wheels. But not rears.
We will be able to very shortly supply car sets of Atom 2 / 3 wheels in a DIFFERENT design to the Atom 2 / 3 wheel. Conveniently, the rear wheel is in a 3.5R size (16x8).

Wings - we can get them, but they will cost 2x as much. (a front would be over £2500 and a rear over £3,000 - i presume there is no interest at these prices! (Another 'Covid Casualty' as i have nicknamed these things).
