Spa is great fun. Group trip in 2022?
Sounds as though it needs a bigger Intercooler?

GR Yaris CP for when it rains, Atom 4 for when it doesn’t.

It might need a bigger Intercooler but you'd think even the stock car should be able to handle your average 15 minute track session without the temperatures creeping up too high. I'm down at the factory next month so will get their thoughts on it.
anx10us I forgot to ask - what suspension do you have on your 4? I noticed quite a difference on the back straight of both of our videos - I didn't even realise there were really any bumps whereas your steering wheel jerks where the bumps look properly pronounced. I've got the Ohlins set to track-bias in the video.

I was pretty much at 95C the whole day. Where the car with wings started to feel lethargic on full power (I know it's subjective ) the one without feels instantly more responsive on full gas.Preseh wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 8:54 am
What sort of temperatures were you seeing during the day? Simon on Facebook has data to suggest there's a significant pullback on power once you creep up past 104C and my ~4mph down on the back straight seems to confirm that. It's a shame though because I've got the sports radiator and for the price I'd expect a decent drop in temps but my temps are the same as a car with the standard rad.
If Ariel ever make a 4R it will have to have a substantially upgraded cooling set-up imo. If they can get on top of that then I would go back to wings and go much more aggressive with the front end as mine understeers a bit more than I like. In my old 3.5, I could throw it at a corner and the initial bite was excellent.
None of this is a whinge though tbh, the car worked flawlessly for 2 days and the only thing that came past was one GT3 cup car on slicks and all the other goodies...in fairness he made me look like I was pushing treacle up a hill
Cheers,
Stu

friends and family under heavy acceleration in an Atom 4. Lovely reactions catching in the past few month. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks Ariel for that incredible fun toy.

Bilstein Single set 8 all round, I haven't played a huge amount with the settings, maybe Bedford needed a slightly softer setting ?Preseh wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 4:49 pm It might need a bigger Intercooler but you'd think even the stock car should be able to handle your average 15 minute track session without the temperatures creeping up too high. salvechris awesome vid. I love the joy that these cars bring people. They seem to be universally loved by everyone and it's great!
anx10us yeah quite possibly. I don't really know much about suspension set up to be honest I've just stuck to the road and track settings for the Ohlins in the manual and it seems to be OK. Worth having a play when you're next out for sure

At 2.25 or so you can hear the bang on downshift. I'm posting as the car sounds so different from anything else.
