Saw this advertised on the club Facebook page back in June by its owner, so surprised it hasn't sold yet. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ariel.c ... 8069566342
It looks like a nice one-owner car with some good options and a low mileage. No mention of annual services at the factory, so you'd need to check the service history and ask to see the last factory invoice. The negative are:
1. He says he has 2 sets of "Telemags", but I think he means the pictured Technomagasio wheels, which were the heaviest and cheapest option and so an odd choice given the rest of the spec, so perhaps he has sold the original (Dymag or Team Dynamic) wheels separately? You can pick up some 2nd hand Team Dynamics for c£500, so that isn't much of a problem.
2. It has no handbrake, so it will not pass an MOT. If you ask the factory to MOT it, then they will fit one temporarily for the MOT and then remove it afterwards. This would suggest it has been factory serviced each yaer. To get one fitted permanently by the factory is £1950.

This was advertised back in 2018 by the previous owner on here https://www.ariel.club/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=16986, but this time some of the extras are being excluded - wheels, panels and cover. It has full factory history up to then, so you'd need to ask when they last serviced it. The MOT history is excellent. It is a very high spec and has some very desirable options including the Dymags, front and rear wings and the full carbon pack. The only downsides are
1. The mileage at 24k, but if it has been annually serviced by the factory, it should be in tip top condition mechanically and the Honda drivetrain will easily do 100k+ miles.
2. Again, it has no handbrake.

For both, I'd ask to see the service history and specifically the latest factory invoice. If you can then ask the owner to give you permission to discuss the car with the factory, all the better.

Cheers Fastlane. How very helpful and informative. Thanks.

Hadn't really thought about the handbrake issue but seeing as I'm looking for what will be purely a road car it's obviously high on the priority list.

No problem, just one correction, I just checked my invoice and the handbrake is £950 fitted by the factory.

Sorry chaps. One more.

It occurred to me, after chatting to a few people, that a N/A Atom might be better good for purely road use and this 3.5 looks nice.

Indeed, it does. It didn't when I posted it but the ad has gone.

2016 N/A 3.5, 12k miles. One owner (his 4th Atom), Alcon Fr Brakes, Adjustable Suspension, LSD, Brake Bias Control, Full Factory history with last service 1k miles ago, only ever used on the road. Loads of other cool bits I can't remember.

Spoke to the seller, nice guy, has a new Atom 4 arriving soon.
