The real test Simon will be whether they stand up to a club run at some point ;-)

Hopefully soon...

Yes, I want to do a Norfolk meetup when I get my car back for people with Ariels and people on the list waiting for their car and people thinking about buying an Ariel.

You know I’d love that Simon, I’m like kid at Christmas at present (joke there) asking myself ‘will Ariel call today to tell me I’m good to go’ but sadly no call today....

I went down to AUTOWERKS this morning. Seem like a good bunch. They are going to Paint my callipers, remove the side pods (3.5R), repaint and apply PPF.
Are the side pods easy to remove? Does anyone know.......?
Thanks

They are a good bunch of lads down there.
What colour are you having your callipers painted?

I just got my car back from Definitive Detail earlier this week and I am very pleased with it. The guys over there are just fantastic, very professional and the machine polish has just made all the difference on my car.

This is the template I had fitted, maybe over the top in some places but it will see a lot of track days.

I recommend the windscreen/aero ppf though, this improves the transparency of it and also protects it from scratching when cleaning it.

Why should it need a machine polish if its brand new?

My chassis and wheel arches - especially the wheel arches were badly scratched - these were very fine scratches, but fixable. The aero screen - due to it being perspex when looking through it on a sunny day would show up long horizontal lines (just the nature of perspex) applying PPF made this go away.

It's the same with any new car, the first thing I always do is have a proper detail and paint correction when buying any new car, the paint is never perfect when coming out of any factory.
