BBC is ex Eurosport guy Ben Edwards (well deserved) and DC with Jake still as anchor. No news on EJ yet, hopefully he's gone! His interviews are unbearable, not even be knows where he's going when he starts talking!

Personally I'll be watching sky. Brundle & Crofty sound a great pairing, and Ted in the pitlane is the top guy in that field.

I'm hoping The BBC take on Karoun Chandock if he's not racing. The man has an encyclopaedic knowledge of racing...

Yeah he's been very good the times he's stepped in for Davidson on 5-live.

For me the core of F1 coverage these days is Brundle, and since he was confirmed on Sky that's when the musical chairs started and the key players followed him. DC worked well with Brundle and Jake is a brilliant F1 anchor, but these are the only people I will miss. BBCs outstanding production quality is a reason to watch, but then anyone who has watched football on sky will know they know what they r doing.

On another note, how will this affect the drivers already packed work shedule over the race weekends with another English speaking broadcaster to feed?

Personally I could not bring myself to pay up for sky TV just for the F1, I just don't love it that much, to pay SKY
I for one am saddened to see it go from the BBC.

However as I rarely watched it as a Live event, (recorded it most weeks) I am told the BBC will have the highlights or even the Full race later, is that correct?

Yeah, extended highlights.

I think your view will be typical of many which would mean delayed highlights is of little consequence. To most people

The hardcore will pay whatever is needed to watch all the races live, but that is the minority. So personally I think the BBCs decision to save cash in this way is probably a sensible one.

Yeah, I suppose I cant disagree with that, I dont have to be happy though.

I am drawn to F1 though, and I feel this year may well be a good year...

I think 2012 could be more interesting. Last year I found a bit tedious with SV so dominant. Hopefully we will start with a 5 or 6 drivers all competing. I hate the fact Sky have this but what can you do ? I like watching it live.
Atom 4, Mclaren 720s, Audi Rs4, VW ID3.....

My position entirely.  Although Sky does have better TV to watch during Sunday's hangover than Freesat / Freeview so it's not all bad news.

I did know that, and that Damon Hill will be joining him.
