Up the Alps – August 2010

Post by Steve Gibson » Tue Jul 20, 2010 4:51 pm

All,

There will be 8 British Atoms (and a Crate) travelling across France and around the Swiss Alps from August 6-15. If anyone wants to come and say hello or tag along for a part of the trip, you're very welcome. Our overnight stops will be: Rugy (FR), Meiringen, Klosters, St Moritz, Joinville (FR), Sedan (FR).

S
First Atomised 2001.
Atom (165) > Atom 2 (220) > Atom 3 (300) > Atom 3.5 (310) > Atom 4 (350).

The places with '(FR)' next to them. They're in France and are part of the trip there and back.

Have just got back from Klosters myself (via Andermat). Some very good roads. Can recommend St Moritz as well.

A couple of videos of this trip are online - filmed and edited on Bart's iPhone.

A short (1min) video and a longer 7 minute video featuring most of the footage from the shorter vid plus a lot more...

Funny you should say that... I've just been up the Zurichberg playing 'chase me' with a Vette!

There are some advantages to living here...

Just discovered that it is against the law to drive a windscreen-less car without a helmet in Switzerland... Fortunately it was a Crate owner who informed me and not the BiB...

Talking from experience, the Swiss police don't seem very aware of that law.

Good job on the video.  I enjoyed it.  What were those animals, beavers, giant squirrels, or what?
