Hopefully jeans and trainers, trying to keep my packing to a minimum. Only really want to use my pockets if I can. Lol

That's exactly what I was thinking! :)  We can all pack, we've discussed how many times, but keeping things uncreased.... nah, not worth the hassle.

I will be coming in either white tie and tails or dress kilt.

As a club we have to have standards - plus, if we're bringing partners, they usually like an excuse to dress up. If you're worried about packing, we know where the hotel is and can drop stuff off there, or just post it!

Why don't we have a vote?

Vote away, but since I'm missing the daytime fun to do a charity skydive, and the then driving over to the hotel, all in the atom, I'll be doing jeans and t-shirt.  You're welcome of course to turn me away from the dinner, and I've no problems with everyone all dressed up.  Each to their own.

I will speak to Tom, after all it will be his decision, it is on my list. I appreciate it is nice to dress up but I agree, black tie, Lounge suit scrunched up in an Atom getting wet is not ideal. My suggestion to Tom will be smart casual. No need for a vote.

Regards

Julian

I agree with Julian here. The Christmas dinner is a little different due to the fact that very few people will take their Atom so plenty of space for black tie. This is all about the car so smart casual is the right way forward I think...

I'd go for that.

For some reason I always feel 10 years older when I do smart casual.  At one point in my life that would have been great, but not at this point.

No one will be turned away regardless of what they are wearing, trainers or swim trunk combo!

From my perspective I think this sums things up nicely.  If you show up and pay your loot, you're in - regardless of your attire.
