SATURDAY: Ariel > Haynes Motor Museum
Cross country route/17 miles/0.5hr
Ariel (TA18 7NR)
East Chinnock
Yeovil
Mudford
Marston Magna
Haynes Museum (BA22 7LH)
Sorry to be a pain Steve but I would advise against this strongly - various roads are shut in Yeovil and that road is a complete nightmare on a Saturday anyway, traffic will be a disaster.

It would be better to just leave Ariel, A356 - A303 then straight off the 303 to Haynes.  There is a possibility of traffic that way as well but it will not be nearly as bad and we should be able to convoy easily, if we go through Yeovil we will all get split up straight away.  Through Yeovil that 30 min journey will be over an hour, and those without sat navs will likely get very lost!

I was under the impression that all Club convoys get splintered by design ;D
Mind you 30 or so Atoms in close convoy on the 303 would look good. Reminiscent of the tractor convoys during the fuel protests of 2000 but at a slightly higher speed :vroom:

We could implement a club speed limit on the A303 and all do 25mph, for the benefit of the general public and their camera phones?  ;)

You should be fine Alex with windscreen, can't remember if you have added a heater!!!

I have got Jane looking into what's showing at the local Odeon!!
I'm only going to the Odeon if Jane joins me though mate!  ;) No heater added yet, maybe Tom could sit in the passenger seat and could blow hot air at me though.  :roflp:

Already ordered a heavy duty jacket in case the weather turns mate. Let's face it, the Atom ones look pretty but hardly do the job come downpour time!
310=325! That'll be the Presidential Remap kicking in... :vroom:

Just realised that I haven't planned a route from Haynes on Saturday afternoon up to the Stanton Manor Hotel (or nearby if you're not at Stanton Manor). I'll do that this evening. If you've already had .itn files from me, you'll want this new one, too.

I have now sent out a final itinerary by e-mail to everyone attending the various elements.  If you are coming but haven't received that e-mail please drop me a line at tomatatomclubdotcom and I will send it over

Last reminder for anyone that wants the .itn files ahead of the weekend.

I can email them before 9pm tonight (Thursday 17th).

I won't be able to email them on Friday, but will be able to Bluetooth them to other TomToms on Saturday morning.

Genuinely not happy to have to work this Saturday and miss the weekends events. Looking forward to a decent write up of events and seeing some pics.
If someone could just keep an eye on Studley to make sure he doesn't phone me blind drunk at 4am asking if I've let the Rhino's back in.
Have a great time all

Wow - what an epic long weekend !

Julie and I enjoyed every minute.

Huge thanks to all who organised this event, especially Julian, Steve, Tom and the factory team who offered their support at Castle Combe today.

I know Chris and Captain Underpants have some amazing video from the Phantom 3 quadcopter and I have some photos too which I hope to post later ..

Chris is going to give us an FTP site where we can upload any photos for consideration to add to the ones he's taken.

Thanks from me too, for all the work put in by those mentioned.  It can't have been the work of a moment, and it's really appreciated, and certainly paid off.  Thank you.
