Really want to make this, but as it stands I'm working 2 of the 3 days. I feel a sickie coming on.

A dozen or so cars doesn't seem like Atom X - wasn't that around 70 - I thought Bruce had a celebratory plan - has that died on its arse - hope not - if I still have an Atom I'll try to make whichever commemoration is the official one/most widely supported
That hotel is ok but a little tired - stayed there on a shoot last Nov - we had fun but there are some far better places close by inc a really good Michelin starred place

Hi Ian
I thought I should step in and have a word here on the Clubs behalf - Bruce is no longer organising an event as he doesn't have time, so Julian and Steve have very kindly 'stepped up' to organise an event for the 10th Anniversary of the Club - there is no 'official' or 'unofficial' event Just this one.
I don't think we need to start panicking about numbers yet, Atom X was around 50 cars and this has been announced for less than a week and no mailshots sent out as yet with a dozen or so already signed up, so we are looking good so far.
With regards the hotel there are some lovely places in the area, but i'm afraid that not everyone in the Club has a Michelin star budget - so Julian has tried to find somewhere that will be nice, cater for all budgets, have plenty of room and of course have availability for the dates in mind, which I think he has done.
It would be great to see you at the event if you can make it

I thought Bruce had a celebratory plan
[/quote]
Yes I did... would have been nice to have been consulted before this was launched, but there y'go... If anyone is interested, mine would have involved staying at a stately home, a factory visit (not Ariel) and the exclusive use of Millbrook testing ground, including the speed bowl and the Alpine course. And non-car activities for families on the Sunday.
I would hope that the non-car Sunday activities could still be incorporated into this plan. We need something that owner's families can get involved in - especially if it's over a whole weekend.
And a vague idea of cost would be nice - even if it's a spread based on educated guesswork. My estimate would be a little shy of a grand for the whole weekend (for two people sharing).

Wattie,
Of course it's ok, look forward to seeing you there, think about the other days also, hope you can make them.
