Atom X - Discussion thread

I am in exactly the same situation - and plan to get the train down friday and stay at Lanes - car is getting a few things fixed and a service. I may not be able to tho with family stuff still to sort - will post once I know.

On a similar note - I'm going down on the Saturday morning, early train from the smoke. Car's being serviced just before Atom X.

I am going down on the Friday, booked at Lanes for Friday and Saturday.  I think I will be in convoy with Rob Evans and Feistycolumbian (albeit in his hire car)

Anyone else for an M11 or A1 convoy, perhaps meeting London types en route on the Friday ?

Hi Ben,

We (Monsieur X, Popol and myself) will arrive at Dover at 11.25 AM friday the 3rd, I think that we'll be able to reach the M3 (we'll come from the M25) approximatly 2 hours later. Maybe we can meet at the first service station on the M3 (it seems to be this one =>Fleet Services Fleet, Hampshire GU51 1, Royaume-Uni) ...

Without wandering off topic too much. seeing as im in minehead butlins all next week was wondering do i take my 2 kids to the ariel factory when i visit. they love cars but im unsure if its a place that is right to take them to.   hope you all have a great time.  im hoping to maybe get a quick test drive and pick me up some atom X goodies.  anyone not going atom X want some pics taking of their car in build then im happy to do that too. will the 500 be at the factory next week do we know? would like a glimpse of that.

Yup. Mortlake to Clapham Jn and then out to Crewkerne. Usually a 15 minute wait for the second one. PM me and we can meet on the Clapham platform, if you're going same time.

I am traveling down for Atom X on the Friday also, leaving from North Suffolk heading for Exeter, it would be good to travel with you and the others if thats ok. PM me the details and I will meet up with you.

OK as an opening suggestion:

12:30  Somewhere near Cambridge / M11 (Madingly Road Park and Ride)
13:45  Stanstead services
14:30  South Mimms
15:30 First services on M3
.....somewhere else down the road

With the aim of leaving the first meeting point around 12:30 to get to Lanes in plenty of time for dinner / beers.  Plenty of slack in the timings to allow for the usual Atom associated seat belts / gloves / faffing about
