I don't think that any detector available in the UK can...

The Road Angels are good, but not that good. Any how I think the law is such that radar detectors are illegal. The main unit uses GPS data to warn of fixed and temporary gatso etc...locations and known traffic accident black spots provided you keep it updated.
Re: road angels
I may be wrong, but I think that it's currently just radar jammers that are illegal rather than radar detectors.
Like I said though, I could well be wrong.

Re: road angels
There is a bill going trough Parliament this year wich will if passed make radar detectors illegal but not GPS systems such as RA. RA owever also has a radar detector (which says "Radar Radar check speed"). Mine has only ever given false alarms. Garage forecourts are particularly prone to setting it off. If the bill passes this would have to be turned off.

Re: road angels
Laser detectors work - but usually only when it's too late.
You could always try driving within the speed limit ("Its a limit, not a target" a BiB once told me...)
sorry...
What WAS I thinking!

[/quote]im a sensible driver, not a boy racer!
dare i say,99% of us do not drive within the speed limit, especially on a duel carriage way.
i have a friend whom just fitted a radar jammer for £250, it emits a long beep and jamm the radar for about 10secs ,enough time for you to slow down.
im not encouraging other drivers to use this device, so they could speed everywhere, just that sometimes i think some road traffic patrol can be over zealous. i rest my case!
