Fiberoptic inspection tool
Fiberoptic inspection tool
I have been looking for a fiberoptic (fibreoptic) inspection tool on the WWW to see into small areas on the Atom, such as between the engine and rear bulkhead, on top of gas (pertol) tank, etc.
OK, so I've over done the language jokes, so I quit.
I found such prodcuts from http://www.provision100.com/ and am wondering if any of you have experience and any suggestions.
(Let's restrict this thread to non bedroom, automotive topic please)

Re: Fiberoptic inspection tool
I have had one of these up inside an artery and the pictures are remarkable - not that I remember too much about it as I was flatlining at the time! I did see the DVD they recorded for me afterwards though, and I'm sure that it would work as well on a leaky fuel pump as it does on a blocked blood one.

The medical device ones are super expensive of course but there are industrial ones with remote light sources. Regrettably, the price sems a bit OTT even for the industrial ones. Hopefully someone else on the ACF knows of some cheaper Taiwanese version out there. I've wasted a big part of my morning trying to avoid the obvious solution. i.e. Drop the damned fuel tank out the bottom. I know what and where the problem is. Maybe I can rent one? I don't need to see inside the fuel tank, just the top of it.
