Dash2 settings

I've hooked up the car via the serial port behind the dash, and tried looking at the software.

My goal is simply to change some of the displayed info (currently water temp, fuel, oil pressure (always 1).

However, once hooked up, the config software doesn't appear to load anything from the dash, just display a set of defaults. I've had a quick look through the Dash's own settings, but can't see anything that gives any info as to what the current settings are.

Does anyone who's already had a tinker have any idea what the car usually has for the settings, or has a settings file for the config software?

Here's the SPA Dash 2 Instruction Manual (attached below) - It implies that if you were to buy their product, it would be supplied with a CD ..
