Flywheel Inspection cover

Post by GraemeW » Tue Mar 26, 2019 10:43 am

I was having a good look under my car whilst it was up on Axle stands for wheel change and application of paint protection film, when i noticed part of the flywheel is showing. Rather than start a whole new thread, I think the topic was adequately covered here....

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12935&p=237315&hili ... te#p237315

I would like to install one of these on my car. Question is, does the K20 part fit the K24 engine? The gap looks identical, but just wanted to check if anyone had fitted one of these to a K24, before I ordered one from Honda on a no return basis

Thanks

Hi Graham,

The same part number (21350-PRB-000) is used for the accord K24 so I'd be surprised if it didn't fit your car

Note the cover doesn't seal the area, so you could still get water and debris in.

I'm looking at John's pics on Page 4 of the discussion you linked to. There appears to be a notch which isn't covered.

Yes, I saw it, and wondered, but as the part is available, designed by Honda, easy to install, and not too expensive, I figured I would do it, as it adds a bit more protection. The roads where I live are more suitable for Nomads, and I didn't want any horse kak on my new K20 flywheel :-)

Thanks Smokin for the part number

Arrived and fitted in 5 mins. Can confirm this fits the K24, so if any Nomad users want one of these to protect the open flywheel under the car from dust and horsekak, then the part numbers you need are...

Flywheel inspection plate 21350-PRB-000
Flange bolts 95701-0601208

from all good Honda dealers :-)

Out of interest GraemeW, what did you pay for shipping?

Looking online it's £15 for shipping, so a total of £40. I know you said it took a month or so on the slow boat, but I'm curious if you saved £15 by ordering through a dealer rather than online?

Cheers.

Recommend you put a dab of thread lock on the 2 bolts. One worked loose before I did.
