Recommended oils

Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 is extremely expensive (almost 4 x UK price!) and very difficult to source here in Cycpus.
Mike at JMC Power Ltd (he builds 1000+ BHP drag cars!) has suggested that I should consider a change to 'RedLine' fully synthetic oil.
Does anyone know anything about RedLine oils and whether they are suitable for use in an Atom 3.5 310 (s/c) that, up to now, has always used Castrol Magnatec?
