I aggree with K20a2. It would be suprisingly cheap.

800€ is exactly the price of an Hondata Kpro circuit board?!?

Did you mentioned the MBE ECU?
First you need a OE Honda ECU and then you have to solder in pins for the K100 or Kpro circuit boards. In addition to that you will also need a cut out in the ECU housing for the Kpro USB Port.

(red = kpro circuit board; the usb port you can see on the bottom of the ECU housing)

... and then you still only have to think about the wiring harness  ;)

Seriously:
If you intend to go the Hondata way (and I would do so), there is at least one German user here who already did that. PM me if interested (it is not me  ;) )

From what I remember the engine wiring harness of the 220 in general is usable. It should be the original one from the Honda Integra DC5, but the cable towards the ECU is cut to assemble a connector that fits to the MBE ECU.
So it COULD be, that it would be enough to get a new (or used one) engine wiring harness, cut the connector and solder it to the current harness.
That would be a relatively very easy fix.

Ok, now i sent pictures of the current Ecu to Jubu P. and got back a calculation that it will cost almost 5k.  :H:

Unfortunatly pedictable.
As I wrote before... its not an easy thing to do if you have no instructions how to rewire or pin things up correctly on to the Honda OE ECU connector. And not forgeting all the tests in the end if everything works like it should etc..

I think labour costs will be the main part in this case.

Not sure, but I could imagine, that a Z-engine may not fit into an A-engine chassis. (?)
Also e-throttle would have to be installed.

Apart from that quite a good offer I believe.

The 5k would be with traction controll and launch controll upgrade.
The price just for a good running engine without bling bling will be 3k!

You think its a fair price?  :fence:

3K is not cheap.
Hondata Kpro=800euro
Mapping      =600 euro  (thats the price i get from serveral tuners familar with k20)
-------------------------------
                    1500euro

So you pay 1500 euro for a loom and a PRA/PRB stock ecu and 1-2h (re)wiring.
I pay 1700ero for a used k20A2,trany,ECU,Loom....... delivered to my door.

3k is not a real bargain and also not very expensive in my opinion.
If have not the skills to do it on your own... you have to pay someone or drop the project.

I think there is a common misunderstanding what costs are involved. You clearly cannot compare DIY work (cheap maybe used sourced products over a period of time) with an official workshop.

- 1-2h rewiring --> probably if you know each cables function.
- unmount and mounting different parts of the car
- maybe problems/ malfunction occur and have to be solved first (you knows)
- possibility of damage
- workshop costs (working material, equipment and in the end profit)
- and after all tax

I can see that they will soon all drive veyrons  ;)

Pretty sure I have a K-Pro going spare.  I bought it intending to do the same and changing the harness but then found it it didn't do everything I need especially DBW control flatshift/autoblip.  Would probably sell it if I can dig it out.

Thanks, but i decided that its the best way for me to get rid of the JRSC and put back in the N/A intake which the previouse owner gave me with the car....
it saves me 3-4k and a lot of trouble...  :faint:

And i think its the better way to get familiar with the car and when i think it could have a little more power i bolt the JRSC back in and get everything done with the ECU over winter!

Thanks all for your help!!!
Cheers Andi

Keep the car, sell the JRSC, get familiar with the car and save yourself a heap of trouble & upgrade to a newer model.
