This gives a pretty good camera angle. I covered the bottom of the mount with silver 300mph tape, so when you remove the mount, you can't see where it was. I made this one for a customer that bought an Atom from me.

I have also made a similar one, that is large enough to take the suction cup mount that comes with the GoPro, for a bit different camera spacing.

heheh, I actually use that same position when I shoot most of my timelapses. I took off the rollbar, so the holes are perfect for mounting a ball head onto, works really well. I noticed less vibration transfer with a ball head and the tripod adapter than using the plastic GoPro mounts.
