Locking Front Wheels Under Heavy Braking
Hi Folks,
Looking for some advice. Under heavy breaking, my front wheels are locking a little too early. I've got an Atom 3 300 with the red brake bias dial (I assume it's for brake bias), but a quick turn doesn't seem to do much. Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions please? Is the red dial really what I think it's for, or am I missing something
Cheers
Chris.

The red dial is what you think it is. The answer is keep turning it until the fronts behave as you require.
It is quite difficult to get right as the front is so light compared to the rear.

Great - thanks. It seems to turn endlessly. is that normal? If so - I'll keep playing around. Wasn't sure if mine was broken haha

Guessing you don't have one of Bruce's handbooks ?
It's all explained in there with diagrams showing the relative position of the brake balance bar and its affect on applying more braking force on either the front master cylinder or the rear ...
Here's some pictures of the balance bar ..

Thanks. I do have one of Bruce's books, but it doesn't show the red dial on the dash that I have. Just wondered how the two corrolate.
Cheers

Turning the red knob rotates the bowden cable that is fitted on the end of the threaded shaft that goes through the centre of the black trunnion on the balance bar ..

Or in layman's term. It just works by twisting some stuff.
