crack in chassis tube (now with pic)
Re: crack in chassis tube
if you take your own engine out can you not send it direct to Arch Motors as they make the chassis or will they not deal direct with you. After all that is were Ariel will send it to be repaired to have the job done right??

That seems 100% weldable to me, it'll be stronger than before. If it cracks again, have it fixed by replacing the tube

How can you be sure it isn't only a paint crack ?
Re: crack in chassis tube (now with pic)
def not a paint crack. its been welded up now. if it cracks it will be going back to ariel. they and the welder seem to think it will be fine.
Re: crack in chassis tube (now with pic)
Do you have a picture after the repair please?
I am afraid I have the same issue ...

not sure if its just the camera angle but the nearest bolt seems much further back from the frame now
assume was a result of the "impact !"

Ariel always want to see the car first, I went through this with a small dent in my Atom 1 chassis, Arch are about 5 miles from my house, Ariel aren't. Makes some sense that Ariel want to give guidance on chassis repairs.
