Rear Ohlins adjustment

Post by phil4 » Thu Aug 15, 2019 8:27 pm

In the thread about Ohlins adjustment I mentioned that the rear adjusters needed the car jacking up.

This is what I mean about being misaligned when sitting normally:

As you can see, at the angle which the guard limits you to, the top of the nut is hidden and so you’d not be able to get a socket on it.

Likewise the guard wrap around stopping a spanner getting in.

Has anyone solved this?

I did look at cutting some of the guard away, but as you might be able to see a heck of a lot would have to go.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Maybe they ask the owner "are you ever going to change the suspension settings?", and that's what you get if you answer "no". Dunno. If no one has a bright idea here, I'll ask when I next take it back to the factory, I'd just hoped to save a year of jacking.
