Two weeks today we will be commencing our Ariel Club trip through the best roads in the Pyrenees. 8 lucky drivers will be setting out, with two meeting us on route. 5 Atom 4s, 1 Atom 3.5, 1 Atom 3.5R, 1 Nomad, 1 Alpine A110, 1 Porsche Boxster.

The 8 setting out on 28 August from Portsmouth to Bilbao are....

GraemeW
Rob Evans
Deepdurks
Speedracer
Yogiatom
AMH 142
Chris King
Italianpaul

meeting us on route for part of it...

Stupot
Patrick Wright

Any Spanish or French owners nearby, welcome to meet-up, or drive with us on some of the route. Please contact me for details.

We land in Bilbao on Tuesday 30 August then take a route through the Basque hills inland, then along some of the coast to San Sebastian for the first night. Next day continue through Basque Pyrenean foothills to the western part of the Pyrenees, crossing into France. We then zig zag across the Pyrenees. Second night in France at Larrau.

Next day drop back onto Spanish side and follow much of the N260 to Boltana where we stay for 2 nights. Rest day in the middle, or for those who can't keep out of their Ariel, an optional excursion along some twisty roads. Day 5 we continue on Spanish side to Vielha, our most eastern part of our trip, but we cover an arc on the N260 to Sort then back over the fantastic Port de la Bonaigua pass.

Day 6 we cross into France again and drive many of the Tour de France passes (mentioned at start of this thread), before crossing back into Spain and ending the day in Biescas. Day 7 in the Pyrenean foothills on Spanish side to Pamplona for our last night, before heading back to Bilbao for return trip. Fortunately, or unfortunately? we will have missed the running with the bulls in Pamplona.

Another Euro trip to remember for a lifetime, driving on some for the best driving roads in Europe with fellow Arielists.

Are you going to do something similar next year?
GR Yaris CP for when it rains, Atom 4 for when it doesn’t.

yes probably. will decide Dec/Jan. Haven't decided anything yet, but maybe German & Austrian Alps and/or Italian Dolomites. But plenty of other candidates as well
