2020 Highland Hoon

Post by GraemeW » Thu Nov 21, 2019 2:23 pm

Earlier in the year I floated the idea to do this next spring. A trip around the Highlands and part of the NC500. Some of the best roads in the UK.

I need to gauge level of interest, so we can identify hotels (not many up there), to book early. Also need to know approx number interested to ensure each hotel has sufficient space. Probably a week all in, and likely to be 3rd or 4th week of May. Usual weather conditions apply. Hopefully no wash out like this years Welsh Weekend. I will trailer to Scotland. Dunny has limited space at his place up north for some trailers.

Draft route on MyRoute app Ariel club site

Aye!

Is staying at Dunny's compulsory?

That may clash with with Spa G, and I know you will be doing that next year!

Ian, it takes a day to get there and a day back...that would be your two days?

So nobody else wants to drive on the UKs finest roads? Probably cancel then. I know its a long way out but accommodation is scarce up there so early booking is essential

Nick, no I can't do Spa, as much as I want to. Can only afford 1 Euro trip
