Bod you are welcome to pitch up at mine. It is far from luxurious, but the offer is there if you need it. I should be back on Thursday by about 7pm.
Steve or Julian, could you email me the tom tom file please? I will convert it for use in my garmin.

I won't have the Tom file until late Thursday unfortunately. My TT Rider is in the Boxster, which is in the workshop until then.

Tomtom have updated the iPhone app, it can now do more than one 'via' point! yay! but I still don't think it can do .itn files .... so ... do you have just a list of towns for me to put in as via points?

Our Tom Tom can do .itn files, but I'm too stupid to be able to use it properly...
...so list of towns would probably work best for us too!

I'll see what I can do. I may not get to this until Thursday evening. Lots to do at work before I go.

Hi All,
Great to have Bod & Bart along, looks like you are sorted with Rich for the Thursday? Any problems then call me and we will sort something at ours.
Steve sounds busy but I am sure he will come up trumps with loading route, he has my route book and notes so I can't send you all list of towns. Like I said Steve will find a way.
Don't know what to suggest re hotel Bod, keep trying I guess.
See you all soon.
Regards
Julian

I can't do the itn files until Thursday night...but...here are Julian's notes, for an idea of the route. As always, it's open to adjustment/torrential rain detour/getting fantastically lost. It's about 150 miles per day.
DAY 1
Calais to Dunkerque.
Slightly out of the way but have always wanted to go.
Dunkerque to Vimy Parc Memorial.
One of the largest war memorial areas in France (need to work out a route avoiding the A25/E42 to Lille,
something like D916, D947).
Vimy to Douai.
Described as an industrial town on the River Scarpe and
canals.
Douai to Laon.
An old city with medieval ramparts and imposing entrance gates.
Laon to Hotel Restaurant du Golf de L' Ailette.
23 Rue du Chemin Des Dames. Chamouille.
DAY 2
Hotel to Bierancourt.
WW1 and WW2 history.
Bierancourt to Pierre-Fonds.
Castle and lake.
Pierre-Fonds to Compiegne.
Riverside fronted town.
Compiegne to Ermonville.
Town with heavy traffic, could miss this one out if bad?
Ermonville to Beauvais.
Beauvais to Hotel Logis Moulin Des Forges.
8 Rue du Moulin des Forges, 60860 Saint-Omer-en-chausse.
DAY 3
Hotel to Samara.
Situated in the valley of the River Somme. Can miss this one if no one fancies it?
Samara to Grottes de Naours.
An underground city.
Grottes de Naours to battlefields of the Somme.
Battlefields to Arras.
Another French city!
Arras to Calais and home in the rabbit tunnel.

Great to see everyone, I agree with Rich, not about the organistaion but a success, roads good, route, hotels and food etc all worked well. Weather good until drive back to the tunnel but always seems to be the same!
Hopefully have some more along next time?
