Euro trip 2024 - Austria & Grossglockner

Post by GraemeW » Thu Feb 15, 2024 12:22 pm

Been planning my next trip since December last year. I haven't promoted it so far, because I wanted to be sure I had a viable trip. It's quite a long way. Ive got that now, 11 days driving, and 1 rest day. Just finalising the hotels.

Thursday 29 August to Tuesday 10 September 2024

I have space for another 2 to 4 cars (assuming some cancellations). We are limited by hotels in remote locations. I have 8 cars signed up provisionally so far, for full or part of the trip. All veterans of the 22 Pyrenees trip. They all enjoyed it so much they insisted on being on the next trip. 3 Atom 4s, 2 Atom 3.5Rs, 1 KTM xbow, 1 Porsche.

Itinerary:
Northern France, & Alsace
Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen
The best roads in the Black Forest
Lakes on Swiss border
Alpine road between Bavaria and Austrian border
Grossglockner
Italian dolomites
Austrian central Alps
& back to Blighty

Ive had some awesome euro trips in the Atom. This looks like the best. Join us if you can for a trip of a lifetime, either part or in full.
PM me your details so I can add you to the WhatsApp group for the trip. All further discussion will be in there. Trips details will be on a shared drive.

First come first serve.

Budget £3 to £4k for hotels fuel and living expenses for full trip.

Ive been looking at the costs. It will be much closer to £3k than 4, if anyone baulking at the price, and besides some of that you would still be spending if you stay at home anyway. So good value for a trip you'll remember for life. Bucket list stuff.

Man maths. You know it works :-)

We've got another 2 possibles, one for full trip and one for part.
