Like last year, we are currently locked down but looking forward to being let out. Like last year, I'm wondering if a similar route makes sense?

By similar route, I mean the same route. Let's face it - nobody has been out and about scouting routes for a while, so I'm kinda flying blind here... But I think last year worked. Grab the South Central posse in Winchester, travel West to pick up the lazy-lie-in folks from Bristol for brekkie, then head back East towards Newbury, for the an easy homeward bound commute via major roads.

Don't know when exactly, but my spider senses are telling me it's not that far away.

Can’t we do Ian’s run ex Oxford services to caffeine & machine again? That way we can meet up with more owners in the midlands. Plenty of great roads around there. Late April or hopefully before end of May ?

Anyway, let's go out. Not out out, but just out.

Maybe Hampshire / Wiltshire / Berkshire to start with.

C&M have adopted all kinds of rules and regs over the years to make life complicated - like paying up front for parking, even if it rains.

Catchy monkey time I reckon. We will all want to expand our horizons in 2021 I am sure.

Speaking of which, I'm hoping we can get an East England run set up soon too. And then there is the Welsh Dirty Weekend for any Nomad owners.

So many opportunities...

So I got handed a piece of paper from the wife last week. It says:

• 8th March - kids go back to school. Two people may sit on a bench and drink coffee

• 29th March - people may meet outside with one other household, or the 'rule of 6' (WTF?)

• 12th April - pub gardens can serve customers siting outside

• 17th May - people can meet in groups of 30 outdoors

• 21st June - we party like it is 1999

So I'm thinking not before 12th April (6 weeks from now). But of course, 12th April is a Monday...

How about Sunday 18th April?

Assuming Boris's plan goes to plan, and the weather gods are smiling... Sunday 18th April for a Hampshire / Wiltshire / Berkshire run?

I know there has been talk about Oxfordshire and Caffeine & Machine - maybe that should be a separate thread. We can do them both (but not on the same day of course). You up for organising this [mention]GraemeW[/mention]?

I think the time has come to get out and about. 2020. What a year...

Right, let's move this forward. We need to do something...

Government guidelines not withstanding, here is the plan:

• Depart M3 Winchester Southbound Services at 9am

• Get to Caen Hill Cafe for opening time at 10:30am

• Remaining hour drive back on the A4 through Marlborough to Newbury for people heading East again

• Split up at or around 1pm in or near Newbury

Route as per last year (attached below in 2 parts - to and from Caen Hill cafe).

Anyone wanting to convoy to the start point, please shout.

I'm sure we'll organise a Caffeine and Machine run at some point, but let's keep that separate for now.

BIG CAPITAL LETTERS - ignore the date on the GPX files attached. If we get positive traction on this, I'll change the name of the files so not to confuse SatNavs...

April 18th is in my Diary with three lots of highlighter I am that excited to get out, Winchester to anywhere is good for me. You just have to imagine a bright green AMG GTR
Is my Atom 4 until July or if Tom at the factory sees my hints (phone still in hand ) maybe sooner
