Le Mans 2018
Le Mans 2018
Thinking about going next year and as the club hasn't been for a few years I'm wondering if it's worth making it a event for the club . I normally go with speed chills but other suggestions would be welcomed anyway if your interested put your name on the list

I'm also lined up to go to the Classic. No firm plans yet but we (mixed group of TVR's, Porkers, Astons & Atom) have used 1st Tickets previously, for Le Mans as well as Spa.
Re: Le Mans 2018
I'll be going next year with our usual crowd. We have a fantastic spot in the grounds of a bungalow, very secluded, secure and very close to the Porsche Curves. There's a large woodland on the back and so loads of room there so you're not crammed in like you are in many of the commercial/general campsites.
I'd be happy to share details nearer the time.

Re: Le Mans 2018
I normally do Le Mans but could be talked into doing the Classic instead .....
If it's the main thing, it'd be good to travel down together if possible?

Re: Le Mans 2018
I'd prefer the Classic to the standard.
Re: Le Mans 2018
With Porsche probably pulling out of the lmp, it'll only be Toyota to watch at the front.
The cars in the Classic also make proper car noises

Agreed. What are the, ahem, domestic facilities like?

Facilities are good. They have a shower and toilet block now permanently located at the bungalow just for the LM weekend. This year was very quiet in general, and the campsite too was down on numbers and so it was very relaxed and far from being rammed like the general campsites.

Re: Le Mans 2018
I'm heading to Classic with a bunch of friends. I suspect we'll end up with Travel Destinations at Porsche Curves again.
Be cool to do a meet up either en route or during the event somewhere.
Chris.

Re: Le Mans 2018
We did The Porsche Curves with Travel,Destinations in ‘16 when Ford ‘ahem’ found some race day pace. Good bunch and great spot, although the car parking and pitch space was a little tight.
Might be interested in the Classic. Sounds fun.
