Looks like my Nomad's not going to be ready on time for this event, so I'm going to have to drop out. Anybody want to take my place ?

Hi Alex,
Jane and I are still coming but we are back under canvas. Motor home is not happening.
Hope that doesn't cause a problem.
Thanks
Julian

Hi guys, sorry been in the darkest depths of Devon for a week with no internet!
Andrew that's gutting mate. Especially after you thought it would be ready. I'll chat to Tom later and see who's best to replace you or what we can sort out.
Julian, no problem mate. Ta for letting me know.
Will check in on here later.

Any takers for Andrew's place.
Surely we can find one person to fill this, all paid for. I guess Andrew has two tickets for the weekend but it may just be one?
Andrew's Nomad on the club stand would of been a good advert for factory.

I put that to Henry and asked him to see what he could do so very pleased the car was available and they were able to drop it off. They will be leaving a fact stand with it too. Always useful for the 'is that a kit car' moments...

Commision from the factory for selling any would be pushing it ...

It will be the first one I point the kids toward, after all it's a tough off roader.
Wait till Bruce sees how the factory are exploiting the club stand with free marketing!

I think a Nomad going anywhere is all free marketing for the factory same as a Atom ,how many people on this forum went and brought one after seeing one?

Ok peeps, with the day approaching I thought I'd remind of some of the details. If I've missed anything give me a shout.
Getting there:
You are heading for Overton.
Travelling from London, Guildford & the South East: Leave the M3 at junction 6 in the direction of Basingstoke and the A339. You will then pick up signs for the B3400 and CarFest.
Travelling from the South & South West: Take the M3 to junction 9 then take the A34 North to the A303, following the signs to CarFest.
Travelling from the North: Take the A34 South to the A303 junction, following this towards Basingstoke and pickingup the signs for CarFest.
Probably best to come into Area A first as I will have all the vehicle display passes. I'm sure you'll need to drop off camping gear anyway so give me a shout when you get there. 07769971181. I will also have all wristbands too.
Site is open from midday thursday. I expect I'll arrive somewhere around 1pm. 2pm latest.
Curry is booked for Thursday evening for 8 people at 1930. I'll sort some cabs.
Festival opens at midday Friday. There is not usually much there for the Friday morning so have something in mind for breakfast. I am told there will be an exhibitors catering tent open but I have no idea how close it will be. Exhibitors last year were across the far side of the site. That's a proper walk!
Sunday there is likely to be a drive up the hill as a club. Was good fun last year. A few burnouts in Overton were a good giggle and the crowd loved it!
I am expecting to stay until Monday (weather permitting) to avoid the masses on Sunday night but you will be able to get the car off site and leave Sunday if you need to. Access to leave won't be granted until at least 7-8pm I think.
Think that's everything. Weather looking a bit mixed at the moment. Fingers crossed for some sun.
Looking forward to it!
