A new destination for a Car Club meeting

Post by Alexmac » Mon Mar 05, 2012 4:03 pm

:OT:

Hi all.

I work for Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge and excuse the pitch but hopefully this will be beneficial to you all?! I wanted to let you know that we are now offering a large outdoor space that could probably support up to 100+ cars specifically for car club meets totally free of charge. In recent times we've had very successful Pistonhead Sunday service meets here so we thought we would offer other clubs a space to meet up as well. We are based adjacent to the Brooklands Museum, which is worth a visit and obviously please feel free to pop into Mercedes-Benz World. I'd recommend that you meet during the summer months at a weekend due to the surface BUT we'll try to accommodate.

If anyone is interested in organising a meet then the best bet is to call 01932 373707 and ask for Nathan or Mel or PM me and I will do my best to get back to you in good time.

Thanks!
Alex

MB World is a nice end point to a run - interesting too.

I've been there in the past when they screen F1.

Alex, when is the next F1 screening at MBW?

Hi Donny,

Sure is very interesting. Its great to hear that you have come down already. The next F1 Screen at MBW will be the  Austrailan GP on March 18th. It wont be live but we will screen the re run. This year we are screening all F1 races whether they are live or not.

Possibly be screening the DTM too.

Does this include use of the testing areas?

Have been along in a Merc before. Would love to try the skid pan in the atom. Guessing it wouldn't be at all easy.

Everything is easy as long as you know the right people and now we know Alex.

So who's getting in touch to arrange?

I love it at Mercedes World, it is a fair representation of my dream garage!  My second favourite cars after Atoms.

The difficult thing in my mind was doing a 360 degree tail out slide in an Atom. Hard enough in a LWB AMG.
