AAOC Christmas Party – Saturday 26th November 2011

Less driving, more natter. For when you just want to hookup.

I seem to remember you being quite frightened the last time I took you there. My 6' tall Sierra Leonian ex-model friend Eudie seemed not to be that scared of you, though.

Her certainly, plus the old chap that wanted to watch Helen have sex with his wife, but less so by the younger couple who invited us to an S&M club.

You should never assume! I had a vision of Bruce and his mates smoking cigars, drinking brandy with their knobs swinging about, didn't realize it's a glorified knocking shop.

There are cigars and brandy as well...

Why do you think we came up with that one rule?

Wasn't an owner until end of September!  And if you play golf you will appreciate that dates get booked up fast!

Next year is already reserved for AAOC

Cheers

Nick

Hi All

It’s nearly that time – a week on Saturday and we will be in London for the do!

Gemma and I will be in the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel from around 3-4pm onwards on the Saturday afternoon if anyone fancies joining us for cocktails and a bit of a chin-wag.  We can’t book any space at the Savoy because they operate a no reservations policy in the bars, so fingers crossed they won’t be too full!  I have spoken to them and they can’t see an issue so all should be fine.

Details are:

The Savoy
Strand
London WC2R 0EU
Tel: 0207 8364343

If indeed we do arrive and find that there is no room (or any similar disaster should strike) the backup plan is the Tattershall Castle which is a bar/restaurant/club boat on the Thames just down from Embankment tube station:

Tattershall Castle
Victoria Embankment
Whitehall
London SW1A 2HR
Tel: 0207 8396548

We need to arrive at Browns Courtrooms for pre dinner drinks at around 7pm for dinner at 8pm.  It’s a taxi ride from the Savoy but not far.

Browns Courtrooms
82-84 St Martins Lane
Covent Garden
London WC2N 4AG

I now have everyones payments and meal choices so many thanks for that – some wine on the table is included but there will also be a cash bar for us for pre, during and after dinner drinks.  There will also be a service charge payable on the night (provided we are happy with the service!) so if I could also ask everyone to bring along £5 per person in cash that would be great.

Dinner will wind up around 11-12pm (we have to be out by 12 at the latest) and I have arranged for us to go to the A Lounge in Albannach on Trafalgar Square http://www.albannach.co.uk/albannach-a-lounge.php (only a stagger back to the Trafalgar Hotel for those staying there) – this will be £10 entry for those who want to come and stays open until 3am, which should be enough time for us to quench our thirsts?!  If you would like to come to the A Lounge then please let me know ASAP URGENT as I need to add your name to the guest list by the end of this week or you won’t be able to come in!

Dress code for the entire evening is Smart Casual with no sportswear; that will get us in to all the places we want to go.

If anyone has any questions please do let me know and I will try my best to help you or point you in the direction of someone who can!

Cheers

Tom
