Wow - what a trip!

I think it's safe to say that this was by far the best Atom related trip/meet I have ever been on!  Fantastic cars, great weather, awesome company, brilliant roads, incredible racing, great camping facilities.  I've had some of the best times of my life over the last few days - I was still dreaming Le Mans last night at home and I woke up today feeling sad that it was over.

A write up and photos will follow when i've finally sobered up and managed to sleep for long enough that my eyes can stay open of their own accord!

Thanks to everyone who made this the trip of a lifetime - Henry, Tommy, Adrian, Kirsty, Tim, Arun, Michael, Rich, Simon,  Andrew, Jacob, Mark, Russell and Gaz.  Here's looking forward to next year already  :tu:

Hi there guys

I hope you all had a good time at Le Mans! I couldn't convince the other half to go camping so we ended up staying at Chateau d'Esclimont near Chartres (bloody miles away!).

The weather came good in the end and although I missed the PH Friday Service we drove around the complex before the rain on Friday, saw some nice cars and got stopped numerous times by lairy lads wanting to see some burnout action! (needless to say as my A048s almost at the limit I didn't oblige LOL).

Headed back to Le Mans on Saturday morning. The path to my parking at Raineries was caked with mud, not a great start but when the sun came out all was good! Watching the action track side was great and once the crowds had thinned out it really was quite something!

On Sunday we headed to Paris and had a bit of a cruise (a bit sad, but I made my first time-lapse video of it at Ariel Atom Time-lapse around Paris LOL). Then headed back to Dunkirk… sadly there were very few nice cars en-route (unlike on the way down) - gutted I missed out on the Atom convoy action!

All in all a great trip, covered quite a few miles but well worth it! Definitely plan on doing it properly next time and staying for the course - the convoy on the way home must be incredible!!

Here's a couple of photos from le chateau!

Cheers,
Francis

Tom and all
Just home to Cumbria. All I can do is echo Tom's comments.
A truly great trip. The 4 petrol heads with me, admittedly not Atom owner petrol heads, loved it, loved their time in the car and thought the Atom club members were excellent, very friendly. They remarked many times on the sense of community they observed.
Hope you all got back safely. 1964 miles for me in 8 days away in all. Every mile a winner.
All the best
Mark
Keep smiling!!

Hi All,

That was one of my most memorable weekends in a long time, just about recovered by the Friday!  Have put some of the photos I snapped on the attachment, I assume it will work but you never know.

Many thanks to all who arranged the various aspects of the trip, the drive down after the rain had stopped and the roads dried out was superb, that was the point when I remembered why I bought the Atom, brilliant fun even when faced by a tractor around a corner on a rather narrow road  ;D

Hope to catch up again sometime soon.  If anyone wants a high res version let me know.
