Colours seen recently on new atoms........

On some vehicles it works (the Lambo comes to mind), on others it looks like a clown cars' bad abortion. IMHO of course.

Orange is a trad McLaren colour so has some justification even if it does not look fantastic.

That may very well be. Although I think of that car as a a Hyper-Mercedes not a toned down McLaren. I'm sure I could stop at PepBoys and pick up a couple of cans of Silver if he handed me the keys..
