Goodwood: Performance Car Legends Breakfast, Sun 28th June

Post by Steve Gibson » Wed Jun 24, 2009 4:36 pm

Anyone else going to this? I pre-registered and they've asked for the car to go in the pit lane where the punters can have a better look. I'll be there as long as Ariel can fix my brake problem on Saturday â?? the right rear has been vibrating under heavy load since day one.
First Atomised 2001.
Atom (165) > Atom 2 (220) > Atom 3 (300) > Atom 3.5 (310) > Atom 4 (350).

I saw Steve on the way back through Midhurst. I shouted from the coffee shop I was sat in, loud enough to scare all the punters, but not loud enough to distract Steve from checking to see if he was being eye'd by any nice women.

Great place to have coffee, as you get to see all sorts of exotica drive past on the way back from Goodwood. When I say exotica, this particular Sunday it was mainly Stags and one new Aston that I didn't recognise at all.

I followed a great convoy home of old whale tail 911 Turbo, 355 Ferrari, AC Cobra, TVR - great noise !!

Nice pics of my car by the way !

Ah, so it was you Rich. I did hear a shout on the way back in Midhurst. I assumed it was another shout of 'Go for it' from the street. You weren't wearing a skirt or a flimsy dress, so I wouldn't have looked (unless it was one of your special days?).

Had a lovely trip down about 7am when the roads were empty. The drive back wasn't quite as enjoyable, with a bunch of sunday drivers wibbling along at 30 in the good, twisty bits.
