Very nice, hope you get a chance to enjoy before upgrading too much!

What was the spec it came with in the end, I presume they wouldn't let you upgrade from the spec they ordered?

Welcome Charlie. Last time I saw your car it was about half way through the build.

Enjoy!

Just base car but I added LSD, baffled sump, stainless fixings, gunmetal chassis and a few other small things like aero screen I got free black wheels by mistake I believe.

I think by any stretch of the imagination your car was a bargain even with that spec!

FYI - The lovely factory optional (£360) machined aluminium mirrors https://www.arielmotor.co.uk/product/in ... 4-mirrors/ are actually called the Rizoma Radial RS. You can find them online for around £240, although they won't have the small etched Ariel logo on the glass. For example: https://www.performanceparts-ltd.com/un ... ack/bs132b

Thanks for that good to know I never thought you’d be able to source the mirrors of all else from somewhere else especially as Ohlins have told me they are contracted to Ariel do you know of any other parts like the mirrors. Regards. Charlie

I am not really sure about the 4, as I have a 3, but most of the upgrade parts for the 2/3/3.5 were/are Atom-specific like the suspension, brakes, wheels, etc. Apart from the mirrors, the only major upgrade parts that can be soured direct (that I am aware of) are the Tillett B4 or B6 carbon seats, but the lead time on these can be up to 6 months. Skunkworx do some aftermarket parts too.

Maybe someone else with a 4 maybe be able to chime in?

Tillet B6s are amazingly comfortable seats too, even without padding.
GR Yaris CP for when it rains, Atom 4 for when it doesn’t.

The Tilton remote brake bias feature was an off-the-shelf item too on the pre-'4' models which should be a fairly easy DIY fitment. (full installation instructions on the web site)

No problem - just bear in mind that Motostorm are an Italian-based company, and as any purchase from the EU over £135 will attract duty on the products, and VAT on the product, the duty and the shipping. So your £200 mirrors will attract probably c£60 in duty and VAT, which makes them more expensive than buying them in the UK.

Unless I have missed something?

I never thought of that as always found the extra charges to be just luck of the draw really and whether seller wrote gift on parcel but going by reviews it does not appear to be the case especially with brexit now so I have requested to cancel and I will try find them elsewhere thanks for the tip fastlane much appreciated.

No problem, I've nearly been caught out too as I used to buy a lot of stuff from Europe. The link I posted above was the cheapest UK-based company I could find - £238 all in, but I'd ring them first just to confirm lead times.
