New E10 petrol
I think super is staying the same but will Atoms still run ok on the new fuel
Re: New E10 petrol
I believe so, since the Honda engines in Honda cars are ok, I strongly suspect the Atom is fine also.
As ever though, best bet is ask the factory.

I asked the factory. They are looking into it.
Some European nations are moving to E10 super unleaded.. I don’t think UK is.

Re: New E10 petrol
Steve or Ben told me not to run on it if possible. It would ok if no other option, but top up as soon as possible when you can find super.
I believe E10 attacks things like rubber bushes more aggressively, so it may not be the engine that doesn’t like it it could be hoses/bushes etc around the tank.

UK SUL remains at up to 5% ethanol. Esso Synergy Supreme+ 99 contains zero ethanol, except sites supplied from Scotland, North Wales, North England and Cornwall.

Re: New E10 petrol
I think 5% or 10% doesn't make much diffrence,
but if possible put premium fuel in.
Mine runs on ARAL Ultimate 102 Octane from the first day i got it. Zero Ethanol in it.
Best fuel here in Germany.
Ethanol has slightly less energy then gasoline, means higher fuel consumption.
Rubber and fuel line problems are only an issue if you run E85 i think.
Cheers

Re: New E10 petrol
In my neck of the woods, all petrol 100 octane or lower is now E10 (euro thing?!) and some of the cheaper 100 octane fuels too so it’s getting hard to avoid. Hopefully it’s not too much of an issue going forward because the E5 100 fuel is getting harder to find and costs a fortune too these days!

Re: New E10 petrol
HI GUYS,
Just had my atom 3.5 S/C serviced a couple of weeks ago by Ariel, i always run Super unleaded , if really stuck i've put a few litres of unleaded in to get me to a garage that sells super.
steve advised that to have fuel lines changed as per atom 4 , just incase i got stuck and had to put a few litres of E10 in at anytime. it was not expensive to have lines changed by ariel whilst in for 8k service.
thanks Ian
