I didn't watch the video yet, but I'd guess marmots (a kind of squirrel). This is the American Yellow-bellied Marmot (really!) which lives above 10,000 ft:

They call them 'Marmali' here. Saw loads today up on the mountains here. They make a cry like an eagle when threatened - by Buchan!
