Fuel filler cap

Hello all.
I’ve joined the club of lost fuel caps…
Any idea how to get a replacement?
The Ariel distributor here in the US said I need to order the whole assembly, which seems odd. And getting any response from TMI here is impossible.
Any hope of finding a part number, or ordering one direct from the factory?
Can they be that rare?
