FOX Dampers

Post by richorme » Sat Apr 02, 2022 9:23 am

Hello - new owner here

Have recently bought a supercharged Nomad, fantastic fun! Planning a jaunt round Benelux with my motor biking friends in a few weeks and am going through a rapid familiarisation phase ahead of an 800 mile trip!

Does anyone know which dials are which and how they adjust on the FOX dampers? All help very welcome.

Can't help on the dampers but did you buy the Nomad on Collecting Cars with the Sand chassis? If you did, you got a bargain.

Welcome.

Yes, that was me.

Having seen the price list I can confirm I definitely did get a bargain

It has the custom roof/wheel rack mentioned on another thread, very handy for our eventual intended use….. A driving expedition of south east Asia with my eldest in a few years time.

Very well done that man - I reckon the list on that was c.£70K! Please do keep us up to date on your plans.

The damper settings are in the manual, do you have a copy of it? I can copy the right page otherwise..

And you definitely got a bargain - put me off selling mine via collecting cars when the time comes!

Regarding the roof rack, has it made a useful storage space behind the seats?

Not sure how useful the storage is yet, it has created a cubby hole there, but it I’ve not yet taken advantage of it. I am not certain you can get a lot in there but perhaps it is better than nothing at all.

I found the settings, just wasn’t sure how to make the adjustments but all good now thank you.

RE values - I think it’s a case of fortunate timing, price of living uncertainty and global war uncertainty may have played a part.
