Had anybody shortened their whip? My garage is proving a slight issue and if they were 12" shorter life would be easier!
On the face of it they look like you can cut them......
But famous last words'n'all......
Shorten the whip?
Re: Shorten the whip?
Yes. My two whips were cut by Ariel so I could get the car into the garage.
Take the top cap off, hold upside down to avoid getting cuttings inside, and cut through the outer layer and the LED light tube, then glue the cap back on.
My stubby whips are just over 3 foot and now sit at a max height of 6 foot off the deck.

Karl, thank you. You're a star
if you did a write-up I apologise for missing it.
If you didn't you ought tag this thread onto your projects or put in FAQ. I doubt I will be the last to ask
They're not quick remove are they?

Re: Shorten the whip?
I didn't actually cut my whips myself, I asked Ariel to do it during the build process, but they explained (and I can see) what they did.
They are definitely fiddly to remove, which is why I didn't want to have to remove them just get the car in the garage. I'm lazy that way
