Off road pay'n'play

Post by fesuvious » Sun Jun 14, 2020 7:12 am

New Nomad owner. History involving tricked up Land Rovers and Land Cruisers using pay'n'play sites. Many of which I know are not Nomad territory.

Strikes me we could do with a pinned thread detailing any courses/venues/tracks where we can pay to play.

I can't start this list, but hopefully I can start a useful thread.

So, are there any suggestions for venues involving mud, gravel, and/or dirt where we can take our Nomads, and have a hoon.

Frankly, I for one am itching to, and I'm desperate to get out there

Some googling and I've decided to put an email together to send to Motocross tracks.

I'm also thinking of emailing rally tracks up to 4miles to enquire what a days hire would be.

Lyddon would be fun as as group.

Mx tracks if any would allow it might be cool.

Good idea would love a couple of places to have a proper play.

Free but has a 30mph speed limit and apparently it does get policed.

Sweet Lamb in Wales would be a good starting point as they do hire it out for rally testing and other events.

So the question (that I will ask them when I can) is - on a corporate type booking can a gaggle of nomads be used?

Spotted that Castle Combe have a rally experience so I got in touch to see if they'd hire out the course but sadly they don't allow the use of your own car :td:

We should all get together and buy a field and be done with.

We could probably hire it out to others when we're not hooning ;-)

I wonder if there is a business case for a rally trackday venue... These days noise restrictions will make buying a field for hooning difficult though

Rally trackday...

Might need one hell of a disclaimer for injury.

A rallycross style venue however...
I'll put the first hundred grand up.

How shall we start this off?
