Does cleaning the air filter require removing the side panel?

You might want to try giving that car a clean...

I know, I'm working on it.... there's so many more hard to reach nooks than there seemed to be in the atom.

Your car was professionally detailed before it went down to Ariel, Phil. Forgot to mention it. Hence it’s “quite” clean

Nomads are an absolute sod to clean, as you’ll no doubt find out..

Cheers,

When I picked it up... it was utterly spotless, so many thanks for that! I've since managed to mess it up a bit, and as you say, learning that cleaning isn't so easy.

Phil,

Pop the 'scoop' off the top and shine a torch down into the air box, if it looks really dirty and the filter is covered (proper covered) in mud a crud, you'll need to clean the filter. If its just a bit dusty and doesn't look 'too bad' refit the scoop and do it another day...

When you do go off road - spin the scoop so it faces backwards, and you will get even less crud down it!

i took mine apart to clean it & it wasn’t dirty enough to be worth the bother.
Will do it again in the winter.
