Brand new Nomad owner

Post by Mr G » Tue Aug 13, 2019 5:09 am

Just over a year ago I decided on buying a new car, I had a 1986 911, Silver Shadow and an S Class. The next car I wanted was a Bentley Continental GT, so I did the usual internet search and found one, 18000miles W12 2012. It was a great car, very fast but if I'm honest it was bloody boring.

So Thursday night just gone, I did the usual internet search and decided on two cars that I would view. A Mercedes G Wagon (I had an old one years ago), and a Nomad. On Friday I went to see the G Wagon first and thought it great, then went to see the Nomad and instantly had to have it. From the garage I telephoned Henry at Nomad to ask about the spec, he said it has every extra...

I did a deal with the Bentley and on Saturday morning I picked up the Nomad...and it is totally Rock n Roll...!

My inspiration for buying one came totally from watching Mudnomad on YouTube, great videos.

Here are a few pictures...

Welcome Mr G. Hope to meet you at an event somewhere. Yes Mr MudNomad should be on commission. Im tempted to buy a nomad based on his exploits. Trouble is I have an Atom which I love. Two Ariels may be a bit excessive, or so Ive been told by my finance director ;D

Welcome. In much the same purchase reasoning as you, I found my 730bhp RS6 Performance uninvolving and, dare I say it, boring. Whilst the RS6 was brutally fast, the Nomad gives the smile factor and driving experience that was lacking.

Great weekend in the Lakes, here’s the Nomad at the Borrowdale Hotel. Extreme weather, sun, rain, and wild wind driving along the A66, however, still more enjoyable than any other car I’ve owned. It was faultless.
