In the Nomad manual it says: "WD-40 has become your new best friend..."

With that in mind, I spotted this on Amazon.... yes, buy it in bulk:

WD40 is good for locks, fans and freeing up bolts as a penetrating oil but I won't let it near any of my cars!

It is banned for use in aviation as when it dries it can leave a nasty residue that can combine with grunge off the road/atmosphere to produce a corrosive mixture that can have a deleterious effect on, particularly, aluminium components!

I use Harken McLube dry lubricant which although expensive, I personally believe, knocks the socks off WD40!!

I fully understand that.

In the nomad manual the assertion is that by spraying your car down liberally with it prior to getting it very muddy, it’ll make it much easier to clean.

And hence why buying it in bulk would be a reasonable idea.
