Summer Rain Covers
Summer Rain Covers
Having done many trips to Europe over the last couple of years and got very wet from time to time I set about finding some rain covers that I could take with me and give adequate protection for the odd storm. What I found was the the area round the wing mirrors tended to funnel rain straight into your face so goggles were needed. We have designed some covers to prevent this which also dramatically reduces wind noise. I also wanted a roof section.
I wanted to be able to fit the whole lot in a few minutes and be able to stop it easily.
Here is what we came up with which does exactly what I want.
Happy to pass on the details of the guy who designed and made them (he also did the same job on the seats and set inserts). Email me on sconmax@me.com for more info.

Re: Summer Rain Covers
Love those covers, especially the roof and 'quarter-light' panels. I will definately get deatails from you thank.
Coming from the Caterham world I use SoftBitsForSevens and Oxted Trimming for such things, but if neither have patterns for such things yet for the Nomad I will be interested to get hooked-up with your supplier, I will drop you a line thanks Matt

Re: Summer Rain Covers
As my car doesn't have the perspex side panels, or the mounts for them (clearly and oversight on the original owner's part) - I have thought of getting the creator of your A-pillar 'spats' to extend them to cover the footwell trellace with 3 dot fasteners on the bottom. They would also be easily rolled-up or removed to reveal the lovely chassis-work again. Rolling them up with a velcro fastener would be good as it would give me the option of opening or closing the footwells in the summer months or when the temperature drops. There are lots of possibilities with thes fabric mods. thanks M
Re: Summer Rain Covers
I sent Stephen a message. Not heard anything back, anyone any other leads?
Re: Summer Rain Covers
I contacted Stephen when he first posted and his covers were done by Martyn Collar at styletodesign.co.uk
I have not followed up yet because I don't get my Nomad until next year.

Re: Summer Rain Covers
Thanks for that much appreciated, my Nomad is due around late February.
Re: Summer Rain Covers
I had a look at styletodesign.co.uk and they didn't seem to have a working link to email or enquiry on-line. I will have a word with Martyn Collar by phone at some point and see what he can do for me, and find out how much such nice looking fabric creations will actually cost me
