Re: Nomad R
Collection day racked up 250 miles and I’m in awe of its brilliance. It’s amazing piece of brilliant engineered, master piece of a vehicle, it’s insane and I’m scared of it, think it’s the best fun you can get for the money or even something 100k more. We attended a super car private event straight from collection, they all looked quite ordinary I thought in comparison even with many cars north of 500k, the Nomad R stood out a mile and people really seemed to say nothing but great things about it, even from pro racer driver in 765LT.
The gearbox is amazing, though being honest I was little crap, but I think another 750 miles the confidence will be strong and my balls might be big enough for full beans velocity, which I just can’t comprehend, it makes my 911 turbo seem quite tame.
My co pilot helped me get to grips with it and when I left his house for hour journey home, the car felt even faster and nimble, my confidence crept up a little.
Though my wife is less keen on it, even though she liked the launch Nomad at Goodwood a few years ago and tonight when I got home my 20 month old daughter had been taught to call it a tractor! Though my wife has just has agreed to attend good wood next week in it, if the weather holds out, so there’s a glimmer of hope…
Cant wait for group adventures soon.

Re: Nomad R
It’s a great experience right?!
Interesting the clamour around it at a Supercar meet. I’m a member at SCD and my first event was similar. All exotic machinery worth many thousands more, yet the R was the number 1 crowd pleaser. Everyone wanting to learn more about it.
The pic is the official one the press took. They sought me out to have the Nomad in shot along with a couple of outrageously expensive bits of kit!
I’d say you’ll quickly get up to speed in it too, especially when you’ve had the running in service and then can flat shift without the clutch. Confidence builds and you realise how much you can push in the thing. I’ve got the geolander tyres and even with those grip is epic!

Re: Nomad R
That is very good company. I had to double check that the white car was a Mosler MT900 - it is probably even rarer than your R!Valey80 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 8:39 am It’s a great experience right?!

Re: Nomad R
Great knowledge! Yes a Mosler. Apparently 14 worldwide and only 2 in the UK (although all LHD).

So guys - are we 5 up now and ready to meet??
Re: Nomad R
Mines going in for 500 mile service next week.
Once I’ve done 1000 miles or so then it’s track time.
The last is ready next week…I might get to see it.
