or a crash test dummy?
If you don't have test or checks on these type of things you might just end up to be one....

Re: SkunkWurx Updates
Is there anything new on a straight through stainless Atom exhaust
Re: SkunkWurx Updates
Interested in these as my current discs are on their way out.
Obviously it's a little bit of a leap of faith trying an unproven product but the fact that it's made by Hi-spec gives me some confidence, I'm guessing with the correct bobbin kit it they won't clatter when cold like some other 2-piece setups?
Given the amount of racing/test days my cars does I'd argue it's the perfect test bed for a full set

Re: SkunkWurx Updates
Looks pretty cool, but that's going to be rather distracting for someone following you and mistaking that for a high level brake light.
I am not sure flashing red lights on the back of any car is a good idea. Indeed due to brake light regulations I would expect it to be illegal for road use.

Surely they are intended as a brake light. Personally I think this is a very good idea, we are often invisible to normal cars so this can only help.

If it was used as a brake light then the LED would probably be set up as constant on, so it operates like a normal brake light. It can also be used as a reversing light with a constant white LED or if it was to be used like a sidelight then the dimness could be turned down if a constant pattern was used.
There's numerous road cars now taht use animated LED's at the rear for various functions (Audio indicators etc) and in some countries non-contsant brake lights are common.
Theres plenty of things on teh atom that dont meet regulations (number plates, lack of handbrake on Alcon set up) so I think thats hardly an issue as far as owners are concerned.

And distraction on the track when someone is following you close isn't always a bad thing...

Re: SkunkWurx Updates
Just changing the subject a bit ... any news on the carbon fibre light covers for a 3.5 you mention a while back !??
Re: SkunkWurx Updates
If that's an extra brake light then great.
That's a good idea as the existing rear brake lights are not great, especially on older cars.
If its a non-functional light, just flashing for "fun" then its dangerous IMO.
Distracting the guy behind you on or off track is just plain silly, and yes it would be illegal on the road (I checked).
There is no point giving the police an blindingly obvious reason to pull you over..... possibly spotting other less visible issues with your car.
