Brave buying any of those wings after seeing that catastrophic failure on track.

Would be nice to get some feedback from this company?!

I fully understand this might only be a hobby and am prepared to wait as i respect someone offering items to a specialist market.
But a bare minimum of respect towards your possible customers is to answer them in a months time or am i weird??

No, I don’t think you’re being weird.

What I would suggest if people want a prompt answer is trying to call or message, say using Facebook. Email is great but it isn’t a guaranteed delivery mechanism, far from it. It’s entirely possible your emails never made it.

No you shouldn’t have to try this hard, and I fully understand why you might not. But if it’s something you want and you’re prepared to chase it, that’s how I’d play it.

Hi all, Just an update to address some of the points that have been brought up.

1 - I have stopped frequenting the forums as firstly I am just too busy and it gets tedious trying to keep up on multiple platforms and secondly I got tired with teh constant debates with the die-hard factory fans. The best way to contact me is just to call me or message me on +44 (0)7976 then 28 then 98 then 78. Alternatively I keep an eye on the forum facebook page so you can message me there. Emails get routed to staff from my main business who don't always know the answers to technical or detailed questionsleading to the delays sometimes. Also a lot of emails tend to end up in spam.

2 - Skunkwurx has always been a labour of love for me. It is not a business that I do to make a huge amount of money and the only reason I can do it and keep the prices low is by combining resources with may main business. It started off as a hobby and has grown. To date we have sold over 200 wings, 40 sets of wheels, 50 sets of mudguards, and the list goes on, to about 20 countries. Becuase of this over the last year I have concentrated on finding more manufacturers to increase the capacity of builds.

3 - The greivance that was posted by someone about the alleged disintegarting wing was complete fabrication. There is a lot more to the story and a lot was done to resolve it. Bottom line he had off at Spa and even daaged one of his rear (Rota) wheels. He purchased a full new set from us a few weeks ago (through someone else). The whole fiasco left a sour taste and left me disheartened somewhat. Occasionally things do go wrong (usually with shipping damages) but I always do try to resolve, but I refuse to be held at ransom by people with threats of negative publicity etc. However the support from customers was overwhelming and it is this that keeps me going and investing in new products.

4 - The "bricked up building" that someone posted above is actually my warehouse for my main business. We are in IT hardware distribution so we are required by the insurance companies to have bars on the window sand large windows bricked up to minimise risk. It is not a retail place so not a fancy outfit however if anyone wants to visit there is a reception counter and we are open Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.30pm.

5 - As far as I know there are no outstanding orders to ship. A fair few new products have been released these past few weeks and several more more are on the way, including retrofit sidepods and all the orders for the new products have also been shipped.

6 - Yes the discount still applies, just open an account on the website and call me or drop me a message with your email address and I'll change your account status.

7 - I have changed the legal status of the company over the years several times to fit my business profile. Initially it was just a sole trader business, then a separate limited company that I dissolved when the turnover shot up. I didn't fancy paying an accountant for two lots of accounts and two lots of VAT returns etc so I merged the operation of Skunkwurx in to my main business. People seem to be reading too much in to it and it doesn't reflect the operation or relaibility of the business or me.

I'll try to keep an eye on this thread over next few days in case anyone has any queries,

I can only say I've made several purchases and was entirely happy with both the products and the communications.
Keep it up please!
