Ariel Club Winter Warmer - 9th February 2019

Post by Alex Brandon-Smith » Mon Dec 03, 2018 8:39 pm

Goodly members of AC,

It was decided that trying to get a Christmas meal squeezed into December just wasn't going to work this year and so the Ariel Club Winter Warmer has been set for Saturday 9th February 2019.

Held this year at The Warwickshire Hotel & Spa https://www.thewarwickshire.com the club’s Winter Warmer is an opportunity to get together with other club socialites while the cars are tucked up; chat about the new Atom 4; reminisce about the old Atom 2 or banter about getting your elbow down whilst going sideways in a Nomad. It’s perfect for when there’s nowt else going on!

The menu is in the club shop https://ariel.club/shop/meals/ariel-clu ... -feb-2019/ and will be needed to be selected for each person and added to the cart and purchased. Please book your room(s) direct on 01926 409409 (option 7) and quoting Ariel Club. We have 20 rooms held which will be released back to the public on 9 January 2019. Rooms from £145 for B&B for two people. This event is open to full club members only.

This is a new venue for us, slightly further north in the hope of getting some of the Northern Chapter down for a catch up so I would appreciate good support and early booking for this one please. We are limited to 40 by the room but the menu is great and let's face it, what else are you going to do in February except ski and get really pissed cos you didn't drink in January?! ;)

Any questions, ask away else I think most of the detail is covered here.

Look forward to seeing you there chaps. If you want to put down who's going, start a list below...

Yeah I had a feeling there would be a few clashes with skiing trips but it needed to be set back a bit later this year.

Not to worry guys, cheers for letting me know. I'll start a list of people attending...

Hi Adam, we usually work on a 7pm start for drinks but people often arrive mid afternoon and have a catch up before hand. I'll be there from early/mid afternoon. The hotel has good facilities too so worth turning up for a dip if you can!

So if the planets align, I'll be traveling from Crewkerne with new Fox shocks on the Nomad.

I'll be traveling solo of course because the boss doesn't know I plan to spend £5k on a new suspension set up.

If anyone asks, I'll be meeting up with other Ariel owners to discuss mid life crisises. Can we explode the Alps next year @GraemeW ?

Did I say explode? I of course meant explore. Damn you auto correct!

I see now why the boss wants no part of my mid-life crisis.

As you were...

This is quite common Karl...i did exactly the same thing when I charged the Atom also adding full Alcons, sports exhaust and roll bars at the same time. And I can assure you it will happen again when I fit ohlins and go 3.5R!Image

Later than I initially planned, but deeds were done today.

Pretty sure I won't remember what courses I ordered.
