Thanks Ian. How far away are you? No point getting you up too early. I think if we leave there about 0830 to 0900 then by the time we get to Manchester area the morning rush should be clear. Would that be ok for you ?

Is it OK if I join you chaps on Thursday morning? I'm about 10 miles north of Banbury, so rather than driving south, I could try and pick you up you on the M40, unless switching the meeting point to M40 Warwick Services works for you?

Scrap that, I've just looked at the route - you're not going North on the M40 so the services is a stupid idea - but you are going practically past my house, so I'll pick you up as you go through Southam.

Plan is to meet you guys at some point on Thursday.

Could you tell me how to access the route files on MyRouteApp?

Cheers,
Rob.

Hi Rob. Have you already got a logon to MyRoute-app? If not then apply for one online, it’s free. Then search for and apply for access to the Ariel club group. Steve or I will approve that then you’re in. In there you will find the folder “Border Blast”. There are other folders for other trips. Inside the folder there is a route file for each day and suggested routes when we’re there, but I think we will just use the local knowledge. The routes can be downloaded on n multiple formats to different sat navs. Or you can use the MyRoute-app App on your phone to follow the routes. The google references earlier in this topic are close approximations to the MyRoute-app routes.

Pm me if u get stuck. See u Thursday

I'm going to struggle to make the 9.30 coffee stop - my route to it is approx 3hrs without traffic but takes me past busy towns, eg. Bedford or Milton Keynes, where I suspect traffic will be a nightmare. So how about meeting at lunch?
Where and when do you think that'll be?

MyRouteApp Ariel tours access requested.
I'm Robert Evans on there, surprisingly. :)

Cheers,
Rob.

I'd really like to join the convoy before you reach the peak district.
It looks like the best place for me to intersect with your route is "Toyota Island," just SW of Derby, where the A50 meets the A38.
I can be there from 10.30 ish.

Cheers,
Rob.

hi Rob

That route you looking at is the google maps link earlier in this topic. We not quite doing that road you suggest. Instead (as on Myroute-app) we are going up the A515 to intersect the A50 near Sudbury south west of Derby. A little further on from Toyota island.

Suggest we meet here in Sudbury for lunch? Vernon Arms. Parking around the back. Alternatively theres a nice coffee shop across the road also.

https://goo.gl/maps/zjYzyGHikZD2

we will not get there until 12ish according to google maps, maybe a bit quicker in the Atom.

Andy, Steve, please note. Slight change to sat nav route. We will go through Sudbury instead of A50 to continue on A515 north to Peak District.

Aim to be there 1130 to 1200? We will probably leave Andy's place about 10
