How many are taking the 2 day drive up from the south of Wales to Betws-y Coed? At the moment its just Karl and myself. Im looking at hotels, and need to know how many so I can make sure there are sufficient rooms available. Currently looking at hotels in mid Wales. Let me know asap. We will arrive at the main hotel above on Friday evening.

Do we have definitive list now of who is coming? Of course weather dependent. but need to book, with cancellation rights in case it heavy rain is forecast. Routes will be on MyrouteApp soon. Please add your names below

Thursday 10 October

Chepstow to mid wales somewhere (TBA):
- GraemeW
- Karl V

Trailering up to Betws-y-Coed:
- Sir Nick

Friday 11 October

Mid Wales to Betws-y-Coed via best driving roads:
- Graeme W
- Karl V

Driving around North Wales with subset of the group?:
- Sir Nick

Saturday 12 October

Main group driving around north Wales (route to be advised soon).
- GraemeW
- Karl V
- Sir Nick
- Ian

Think Nomads looking for some off road action. I will focus on a tarmac route, but if a Nomad owner wants to come up with a route, then place it up on myrouteapp, after Ive placed the tarmac route. So you can see where we can meet up etc

Sunday 13 October

We all head off home

For the possible Nomad off road route on Saturday, whoever is owning this please pm or WhatsApp me so we can discuss how best and where to meet up. I haven't planned anything in detail for Saturday except for a list of roads to try and include. Im sure there will be some overlap, and you may be ahead of me in planning something? Thanks

I'm going on a bit of a tour myself this weekend in Wales. Picking the new wagon up Friday & coming back down to the factory for its first service Monday. I'll let you know what I make of the roads, if you like. I'm pretty much following the route Ollie Marriage did in the Mono for TG.

Cheers,
Hedge

For your info, those travelling up over 2 days to North Wales, I'm including some of Ollie Marriages roads, but not all, due to time. I discovered some of these on the 2017 Welsh weekend, and there are some brilliant roads. Really hope the weather is good. As my Swiss Alps trip recedes, I need another fix!

Hi Justin,

I'll be in Brecon around lunchtime/ early afternoon on Friday. Then around Elan Valley the following morning, coming up from Whitesands Bay, en route to Snowdonia.

Cheers,
Hedge

I am hopeful to join, I have booked the hotel but have some significant work commitments that may prevent me coming along. Will confirm at the weekend. Just got the car back from the factory following a big service, lots of nice new 4’s being built, 3.5 year waiting list!

Good stuff Gordon. Pm me your mobile if u want me to add you to the WhatsApp group for this trip. We discuss the details there. Well actually no, it’s mostly silly jokes about sheep and things.

We going to make a go/no go decision on Monday depending on the weather which isn’t looking great at the moment. Monday is cut off date for hotel cancellation without fees
